How to find out whether my WiFi network is 2.4GHz, 5GHz, or 2.4GHz&5GHz dual-band?

ULTRALOQ/UTEC/Ulticam products only support 2.4 GHz routers; 5 GHz is not supported. You can confirm your router in these ways:

1. Look for the physical label: Check the exterior of your router for any labels or stickers.

If the router only supports 2.4GHz WiFi, usually it doesn't point out in the nameplate (as shown below). In this case. You can use it for our device WiFi setup. 

2. There are a few brands of wireless Access Point devices that only support a 5GHz WiFi signal. You can not use it for the WiFi setup. (as shown below)

3. Most routers currently sold on the market support 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band WiFi signals (as shown below).

If you are experiencing difficulties connecting your devices to the router, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Restart the router: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Unplug the power adapter from the router, wait for about 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. Give the router a few minutes to boot up and reconnect all your devices.

2. Check the Wi-Fi settings: Make sure the SSID (network name) and password are entered correctly on your devices.

3. Verify 2.4GHz is enabled and working: ULTRALOQ Wi-Fi locks only support the 2.4GHz frequency band for Wi-Fi connectivity. So you can access your router settings and verify that the 2.4GHz band is enabled. You can try connecting your mobile phone to the 2.4GHz network to check if it is working properly.

4. Update router firmware: Outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues and connectivity problems. Visit the manufacturer's website and search for the latest firmware for your router model. Follow the instructions provided to update the firmware, typically through the router's settings page.

5. If all else fails, you can reset your router to its factory settings. Keep in mind that this will erase all customized settings, so you'll need to reconfigure your network. To reset the router, locate the reset button (usually a tiny hole) on the back or bottom of the router. Use a paperclip or a similar object to press and hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds. The router will then reset to its default settings.
